The announce of the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ is the vocation of any baptized and confirmed person. This is the reason why the Church has been founded. In particular, the Christians have to announce it to the Muslims:

Evangelization is first and foremost about preaching the Gospel to those who do not know Jesus Christ or who have always rejected him. Many of them are quietly seeking God, led by a yearning to see his face, even in countries of ancient Christian tradition.

Nevertheless, the announce of the Good News of Salvation in Jesus to Muslims is not as simple as the mere proclamation of a personal testimony of conversion or of the example of a right life, lived in unity with Christ. Islam, indeed, prevents the Muslims to receive such announce, for example by making them believe that Jesus was Muslim himself and prophet of Islam, and therefore that Jesus was not savior by himself (on this matter, see our « manifesto »).

It is then necessary to benefit from a minimum of training and knowledge about Islam to ensure that the announce of the Salvation in Jesus may be actually received by a Muslim or a person of Muslim background. This is what Mission Ismerie is implementing, among others, through its various actors, with the certitude that such training can be offered to the public, certitude forged by our missionary experience.
